On April 25, 2009, the 19th Annual CENLA Earth Fair and Party for the Planet will take place at the Alexandria Zoo.

This is a family event offering educational fun for visitors of all ages. A wonderful opportunity for all to discover more about the environment, wildlife, and our natural resources. There will be over 20 booths and lots of take-home items.

Everyone participating in activities will receive tote bags they can use to carry the handmade items and informational pamphlets they'll collect as they travel to the 20+ stations and participate in hands-on activities.

All activities have a conservation or environmental theme promoting wildlife and our valuable natural resources. Some booths encourage recycling, reusing products, and creating backyard habitat projects.

Past fair take home projects have included:

  • Wave bottles

  • Tree seedlings planted in handmade pots
